Eyebrow Lift

Overview of Eyebrow Lift

Eyebrow lift surgery is a cosmetic procedure to raise the eyebrows to their youthful position.

As we age the collagen and elastin ligaments of the skin reduce making the skin loose simultaneously soft tissue volume loss along with gravity brings the skin of forehead and the eyebrows downwards.

The eyebrow descends downwards with age and gives the eyes a tired and unhappy look. They also result in heaviness of the upper eye lid. The outer part of the eyebrow hangs down more than the inner part.

The surgery is done through tan eyelid incision or through an incision placed in the scalp behind the hair line. Both the incisions are well hidden.

At Kalpana Aesthetics we evaluate the entire face as a whole and suggest the best customized treatment plan for you.

What happens in Eyebrow lift Surgery

Usually the surgery is performed under general anesthesia. The patient is asleep throughout the procedure.

Eyebrow lift surgery can be performed in two ways depending on the amount of elevation required. If a small amount of raise is required the incision is given in the upper eyelid crease. This incision completely invisible because it hides in the eyelid crease.

In case more elevation is required the forehead approach is used in which incision is placed behind the hairline. Such an approach helps smooth out the forehead wrinkles and remove any extra forehead skin. This incision is well hidden and is also used for endoscopic brow-lift.

You are asked to come to the surgical suit at least 2 hours before the time slot allotted for surgery. It essential to come empty stomach. Please carefully read and follow all the pre-operative instructions give to you at the time of appointment.

You will be given time immediately before the surgery to discuss any last minute doubts with the surgeon. once you ready you will be taken to the operation theater. You will remain asleep through out the surgery.
